first, lets break down agejo make. what makes it agejo?

- eyebrows.

they're thin and in agejo, SHARP. you can get thin sharper brows by--

but if you can't really pluck or bleach, try covering them up a bit w eyeshadow or foundation/concealor and then combing them thinner.

-nose

typical gyaru contour,, straight down from eyebrows to the sides of ur nose. make sure to add plenty of highlight!!

-eyes!!!!!!

i mainly see ppl extend their eyes outward w puppy liner. thickkkk upper eyeliner, but lower for the droop too if you want. apply highlight/white pencil to the inner corners! you can use darker eyeshadow for ur eyelids and to fill in the droop. thick eyelashes r a MUST, imo. use falsies or grow ur lashes and lay on mascara THICC

u prolly shouldnt use the same type of falsies for both ur upper and lower lashes, heck u could just mascara ur lower lashes lols

-lips

light pink/ beige lips. use lipstick or gloss, but definitely use gloss after if u use lipstick.

- cheeks

light pink, or nothing. don't do a dewy base, do a matte one. skin prep so it doesnt pill up!!

okay, so its not all that there is, but we can see a lot of blacks and pinks, yeah? a few cheetah/ leopard prints and fur thrown in too. 

i hope ya noticed the frills, ruffles, lace, maybe lingerie, and the bows. not a big deal if u missed it tho /gen

i dont see this mentioned often, but there’s lots of thigh highs and long boots going on. it’s hard to find photos without it.

i also can’t seem to ever find shorts, so we may say that agejo is very much focused on SKIRTS and THIGH HIGHS in general. like, those boots better come to your knee or above or ELSE (/j)

pink plaid also exists.

the outfits usually follow a dress + socks/tights and boots or a top + short skirt + socks/tights and boots.

my thoughts + what to look for at thrifts ˚ ༘ ೀ⋆｡˚‧₊˚ ┊

now! if you’re not buying brand, you’re trying to scout out the stores at the malls or thrifts (for the love of god avoid shein or similar </3 but if ur truly in a pickle try stores that are found in malls. h&m is one but they’re actively causing environmental damage, so i’d only recommend it if ur truly desperate and based on the area you live in. its one of my best bets for stylish clothes but its pricey and shite, so i try to avoid it.) also if u buy fast fashion, if its irl you can atleast check for quality, materials etc. i’ve had tops from what is technically “ fast fashion “ for years, and its going strong with VERY regular use. plus going to real stores is way more fun </3

so, yes, back on track now, look for black tops (duh) but ones with embellishments. if it feels like its perfect but missing some ruffles, or a bow, DIY IT!! 

in more detail,

look for tops, button / zip up with long sleeves / cute short sleeves, maybe with pink / gold patterned cuffs. plaid, leopard, etc. if its got details around the collar, maybe ruffles on the cuffs, you MAY be bagging a good one!! if these tops are dress with layered / ruffled skirt pieces, and the skirts are pink plaid, leopard… you are wayy in luck.

material could be anything, but imo stick to shiny stuff for accessories or side stuff, not the main focus. skirts with frills and lace could be layered with a cute top, a lacking dress could be embellished with your own bows or hand sewn for ruffles…

also, jackets. cute fur(?) jackets with hoods are totes amazing, but if you want a winter coat type of thing, look for stuff with an hourglass / girlish silhouette. stick bows on that too <3

then, shoes. thigh/knee high boots will go super well with most tbh but personally having tights, stockings, socks or garters up to the thigh will help you sell it more if it isnt very easily recognizable. You could use normal shoes, even sandals if you’ve got some kind of leg covering on. those can also be drowned in lace and bows and ribbons.

belts, particularly thin / metallic ones will add some flair to the outfit. head accessories can be bows, or headbands. or bows. its hard to not see bows lmfao.

necklaces, again, BOWS but pearly necklaces w embellishments are cute. consider throwing heart charms on your belts or skirts too!!! 

consider learning basic hand-stitching for easily attached a cute charm or button to your stuff!! a sewing kit isn't exactly expensive (you can mini ones, tho depending on your country it might be pricier)

now, this outfit is a bit unconventional, and unlike most search results and the like. however, we see a pink top, longish sleeves, a black skirt (?) and thigh highs.

next time y’all go to a store,  bring a few inspo pics or write down what you like the most abt agejo and look for those pieces or similar. buy some glue, ribbons, and try to get scrap fabric / reuse old clothes / thrift cheap stuff with ur preferred fabric, better if its stuff that most likely wont be used like handkerchiefs. pls dont cut up a beautiful dress lmaoo </3 🙇
