Not caring is horrible.

When we as humans stop completely caring what others think of us, it can go negative. We start to not care about consequences or stop holding ourselves up to standards that are needed. We become nihilistic in a way that is depressing. "No one thoughts and whatnot matters because they aren't me" is a common mindset developed. It's a pipeline into forgiving yourself for everything. You'll stop holding yourself accountable. You forgive yourself for everything and never learn how to get and do better. You lie together and say your better until your placebo yourself. You start to believe no one but you have changed. You forgive yourself for horrible actions and you start to push away people you've hurt, not wanting to listen to them. You start to hurt other and don't bat an eye. In some cases, people will grow a Us vs Them, Black and White, ' this team vs our team', Because their thoughts don't matter, right? They don't matter, they don't know you, they don't know what your going through. It causes you to disregard everything. Take people's thoughts and whatnot with some care and a grain of salt. You need to find a balance with not caring and caring. Most don't know how to do that. I know from personal experience of others around me, It's so easy to overdo.

You put this into words really well. It’s a solid reminder to take things with care but not let them consume us. Kudos to you for sharing this!
