Hai all!
I'm not AI expert but it honestly has been infiltrating my life on the interwebz...
I wouldn't really call myself a chronically online person but I do spend a bit of time on Pinterest because I love collecting pictures into my boards! Recently, I have had to practically scan the whole image for a trace of AI and it can be annoying to look for art with all its humanness and I get a jumbled mess with no soul and no hard work. AI is truly uncanny to me more than things that are supposed to be uncanny.
While I think AI can be a great tool, I don't think that it has a true place in art.
Art has always been accessible. Pen and paper get the job done. Even today drawing tablets for digital art are cheep and not hard to find(at least in my country).
There isn't a reason in my mind that someone would really need to make a piece of art using AI instead of a work of art or a photo. We have an immense amount of photos and works that are made to make AI and it just doesn't make sense why in a specific scenario that a person couldn't just find a photo.
I might also come with a bias towards human drawings however poor or not. I find a drawing from a science teacher with a stick figure and a line for a tree all the more fascinating and soulful than any piece of AI art. The pure fact of humanity makes art so much more special.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my opinions and thoughts on the matter! This place seemed like a better place to write this (^^♪
Signing off! Byeee!
