I don't understand boomer logic

It genuinely confuses, befuddles me even, the arguments boomers tend to use

I especially don't understand why "You kids have it so easy these days!" is such a popular one, because...

ISN'T THAT THE POINT??

If, in all the time since your childhood, society had not developed whatsoever and progress just stood at a standstill, that would be concerning. What's bad about children nowadays not having to surpass the same hurdles that you did? Shouldn't we be happy we're going in the right direction?

Modern society definitely has its own problems that need to be addressed but an increase in social awareness and better living standards are not included on that list.

I especially don't understand why a lot of immigrant parents take this stance. If you worked exceptionally hard and left your home country for the chance of your children having a good future, why are you upset that you got exactly what you hoped to achieve?
