my classmate tried to catfish me??

guys like the title is true and i still dont know how to take it? okay so a week ago i got a ig follow request and i thought it was my cousin bc like they had a similar username and they messaged me and i was like confused bc i thought my cousin had another acc but they were like no im not ur cousin and stuff so i was like ok and they said they didnt know me so i just didnt my convo with them and like an hour later my classmate (like we are kinda friends) messaged me like do u know this dude and its that account so im not noo i have no idea who it is i just thought it was my cousin so i followed so she went on tell me like they dm’d her asking abt me and i was like wtf idk who that is.

and like this weekend that acc messaged me like lets get to know each other and stuff and yk i was like idk u. and like i was kinda skeptical bc why this random would message me?? so i was like bro who are u? they kept telling u dont know me and stuff and they sent me photo of their cat and i searched the photo on that google feature and found out that it was some internet photo so i asked my cousin like smb i know is trolling but idk who it is so my cousin dm’d the acc and my cousin got them to send them a screenshot. guess what yall. that account only messaged 2 people which is my cousin and me..dun dun dunnn. so atp i know who it is right but likeee why?? 

like im friends with that girl and she even opened abt some personal things and we sometimes catch up. okay i might be like being dramatic or smth but like i feel like thats so mean of her. idk but when i realized it was her i kinda felt like i was being bullied like i was always the quiet kid in every school and class right and it kinda reminded me of the times i was in elementary and the popular kids would treat me like an inside joke that i was not a part of. i think she was just doing this like thinking i would flirt back or open up?? bc on that acc she was flirting and like trying to get me talk abt my past or something.but also its not like we were ever close enough to her pull a prank on me like that. Honestly if it was my best friend smth i feel like i would be okay with it but her being in this big popular girl group and doing this to me doesnt sit right with me..

i feel kinda weird about her i didnt tell her that i know and she’s still sending me tiktok’s and stuff. i mean im okay and idc that much, i never said anything other than whta everybody knew abt me anyway
