My apologies on this review being a day later than it normally is, I’ve been busy, haha. But busy or not, everybody go and watch Event Horizon (1997) because it is amazing. A throughly entertaining sci-fi horror that you definitely don’t want spoilers for. Great acting, wild plotline, very goofy early CGI, and set design that looks like it’s out of a nightmare. Entertaining all the way through, I can’t recommend it enough. Event Horizon is currently available to stream on Tubi for free or for purchase at any major streaming service. !

So, Alien is just Halloween but set in space, yeah? Event Horizon is if The Shining, Michael Crichton’s novel ‘Sphere’, and Star Trek all merged into one awesome amalgamation of a movie. The whole concept of wormholes being portals to Hell is genuinely such a fun idea I’ve never seen utilized before watching this, and now I’m only wanting more. Not only is a haunted house movie set in space amazing, but the sheer artistry of all of the lighting and effects alone are reason enough to watch this movie. The characters are so human, you really don’t want them to get sucked into the vacuum of space.
