Picture this.
You leave the house at 8:00AM, catch a bus, and are hoping to get to your college at 9:20, a whole hour before your class begins.
The bus you take gets stuck in traffic right around a train stop, so you get off and decide to take the train, since there's no traffic on the railway.
Halfway to your train stop, the train comes to a halt. The conductor announces a ten minute delay, which is no biggie.
Ten turns to fifteen, turns to twenty, turns to thirty. The delay's official time goes from 15 minutes to "indeterminate". The conductor advises you take a bus instead. Oh yeah, also, your Tupperware for your lunch breaks and starts leaking for no reason.
You climb onto a packed bus and go to a stop that connects with a metro station, but almost miss the stop because your bag is leaking all over you.
Finally in the metro, last thing to take. Nothing can go wrong. That is until your metro line loses power causing a half hour delay.
Power comes back eventually, and you get to your stop and walk to class. But what was supposed to be a 9:20 arrival time has been pushed, and you get into class at 10:45, half an hour late.
So much for leaving early. The ride back can't be too bad....
The train goes smoothly, thank god. Wait, you forget to tell your parents when the train was arriving to be picked up!!! No big deal, I'll run to a bus stop and take that bus home.
The bus doesn't stop at the stop, despite you very visibly standing there flagging down the bus as you realize it's gonna blow by you - in vain ofc - because the bus blows on by anyways.
Otherwise great day. But FUCK this city's public transit today.
