Is me + What I read recently

Hey hello spaceheys I had no idea what myspace was until pretty much yesterday, so when I discovered that there is a website inspired by it the overwhelming surge of nostalgia propelled me in its direction, so now I'm here.

I'm not much of a blogger, but I don't want to leave this space empty so I'll say that I've read "The Goblin Emperor" pretty recently and very much enjoyed it. It's about how a half-elf, half-goblin boy by the name of Maia deals with a sudden ascension to the position of the emperor of elflands following a tragic accident involving his father. Maia didn't mourn, though, since the late emperor completely dismissed his youngest son from his life, and the lad hated him for it. Maia struggles with pretty much everything as the new ruler, but some friendly folk help him adjust and figure everything out. However, a few courtiers have different ideas about succession.

There's almost no action, instead the book's filled with dialogue and introspection, but it's all well-written and, more importantly, well spaced. Also, The main character's someone I think many people can relate to since he's just a good guy trying to do his best in an unfamiliar environment wholly opposed to him.
