my point of view on friendships

Friendships have always been a sensitive topic in my life.
Childhood brings a need for closeness with people, but nothing before the age of 15, for me, truly resembles a real friendship.

During teenage years, friendships become deeper and, in a way, more real. For the first time, I feel that the people around me care about me, and for the first time, I genuinely care about them too. Not in a selfish way, like someone who simply doesn’t want to sit alone during school breaks, but in a way that makes me want to keep them close even as we step into adulthood. People I know I can count on, even if we end up in different cities, states, or even countries.
I know that life holds unexpected things for everyone, and I know that, for the first time, I truly hope their futures are bright. I know I will celebrate their achievements, and I hope to witness them up close.
Especially for you, Tetê and Anny, I hope the future takes you to beautiful places, and I hope I can admire the view alongside you both, celebrating each of your victories.
