Shadows of the Past
The mirror glares, a face i hate, a child trapped in a grown-up's fate.
The mirror laughs, it knows my name, reminding me i'm still the same.
The hunger's gone, but i still crave, lust has teeth, and shame will slave
The hungers gone, yet i still fight, lust has teeth, and shame holds tight.
A child inside, yearning to grow, but shadows of the past steal the glow.
the scars remain, they never fade, a child lost, a life delayed
