i mean i know i didn't expirience it but my mom did and i want too for people that don't know skype is an old social media app but it died due to whatsapp and messenger but i still love the iconic calling sound and i will try it and make 2 more posts regardiing it one when it shuts down and one after i try it soo get ready for more update

You and I both :( I used it when I was in middle school - freshmen year in high school. I would Skype my old friends and talk about anything on there for how long I wanted without some random "your hour free trial is over" or whatever (hate zoom). I also hate Facetiming on my phone cause it gets hot if I game or share my screen with my new friends.
It was also pretty popular during the 2000s as well. Lots of nostalgia from video chatting with family members from back home.
