my hair might not be built for an emo haircut

ive been frequently cutting and styling my hair but it always ends up looking flat, awkward, still lowkey wavy even if i straightened it 1000 times and it SUCKS I LOOK SHITHGFKJ ive followed tutorials it still looks bad, ive went to a barber IT LOOKS EVEN WORSE they js dont check what the haircut on the picture i show them is jesus christ. straight up made me a bowl cut once

maybe im js doing some things wrong but im starting to lose hope. maybe im not built for it after all :cry:
