˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ Hii, I wrote this poem about a year ago and I thought I might post it here. It's a bit dramatic but I like it a lot, and I think I'm going to revisit it and try and work on it some more. I love you all
When I was sixteen I learned how
Many things there are to do on a trampoline, like
Stargazing, and lumbering, and
Raising my voice, and
Spinning as fast as I possibly could,
Faster, maybe, than I would have liked -
Fast enough to fall deep into the belly of
Some night creature, like a big black dog, like
The gummy spot after a tooth falls out, like
A hole that nobody knows about.
When I was sixteen I learned that
Veins and inky trees look pretty much the same when you're
Curling on a trampoline, and
Staying quiet, and
Making the night feel less lonely by counting
Its ribs, maybe, that's what you do
To make a swirling mess a galaxy instead -
To lie on your back on a trampoline like
You're inside the belly of a dog, like
Stars and teeth are really the same thing.
