ghosts & supernatural

HEYY PPLSS!! so this all happened when I was about 7 years old, I used to be really into like ghosts and ghost hunters and the reason was because I'd always see this tall figure, he was really tall and ghost like, he was made up of shadows and his face was elongated and a long top hat with a white ribbon at the top. I searched it up and a lot of other people have seen this entity,, so was this all just my imagination or was it real.?
