Hello everyone!
This is a blog that I wanted to make for a while, ever since I started collecting physical media! DVDs have something special that streaming services can not provide, and it saddens me that physical media is beginning to die out as streaming services take over the world. Though I can see why people would choose streaming over buying physical discs, both streaming and physical media have their pros and cons.
But I'll post another blog talking about physical media another day. (I have a lot to say about Blu-rays *cough cough*)
But I just wanted to show off my collection of physical media! How many movies or shows can you recognize? I also recommend that you view this on PC since it might be harder to see on the mobile app. (I had to turn down the quality of the picture :( Sorry for the blurry pictures.
AJ from the Future here! It's been a while since I last updated this blog, and I had to privatize it since the whole site decided to break again and take down all the pictures (It's still kinda like that). But I wanted to come back and update this blog post since I had gotten new DVDs, and I had moved all the DVDs into a new shelf and a drawer, since I didn't have space on the old shelf, and I still don't have any space :(. But that just gives me a little more space in the drawers (like barely, but still. I'm glad I made the decision to move everything again. So enjoy what I have, I'll update again when I get new DVDs and space. :D

Favorite/planning to watch down below!

The image below is the middle drawer!

And the last drawer of my collection!

And that's all I have! I'm still updating this drawer to this day, and I hope to get more in the future. I'll probably get a bigger shelf since I'm running out of room on it (again 😭). Sorry that I didn't pull out all of them so that y'all can read the spin, but like :P
Summer Update
Hello Hello Hello!
It's been a while since I last updated this whole blog about DVDs, and I have gotten more to add to my collection, and this time, you can actually see what I got instead of just taking pictures of my shelves and drawers and having you figure out what's new. I probably should have done that from the start, but like I was young and dumb (Not much has changed). But, like hope you enjoyed so far my forever continuing journey of taking back my media and losing space on my shelf and drawers :D
This isn't a DVD, but I wanted to show it off since it was Doctor Who related :D but I didn't just get one Doctor Who audio drama! Oh No!

I got twoooooooooo! :D

And here I was able to get my hands on two anime, and The Thing, or I like to call it. The Among Us Movie. But after doing research on the anime Kurokami (the Blu-ray in the pic), this anime after that volume, the DVDs start to get very, very pricey, and looking for the whole series goes for more than 100$ on eBay and on Amazon. I mean, I'm glad I got it, but now I won't be able to get the rest of it on Blu-ray or DVD unless I'm willing to spend more than 100$ to get it all.

And here I was able to get my hands on another anime and the first 100 episodes of SpongeBob. You can't go wrong with SpongeBob; that's like something I need to have in my collection. It's seasons 1 to 5, so I'll be watching SpongeBob for a while, and I'm still debating if I should get the 2nd 100 episodes since that goes from seasons 6 to 9, but I'm not sure since I basically have what everybody calls the golden age of SpongeBob in that DVD pack. Let me know if I should get it or not. I would like everybody's opinion on it!

And the last picture of what I was able to get throughout the whole summer. I ended up getting another anime. I have watched a little bit of it and I think it's alright so far, but I need to actually sit down the whole thing, which I will do at some point. But I need to get through my Doctor Who audio dramas first!!! I got a few more movies under the Blu-ray, and I already watched V for Vendetta and Van Helsing in the pile there, which are good movies, but one is better than the other. But enjoyable movies that I do recommend if you have the time and have nothing to watch!

But that's all I have for nowww until I get the chance to get back into collecting more DVDs that are a must for my collection. I also have been thinking about blogging my whole CD collection, as I tried to do it before with my album of the day posts, but that ended up not going anywhere. So instead, I plan on posting my whole collection so that everyone here can see what I have, which will come soon, I promise!!! But until next time, everyone! Have a great day/Night/Evening! My IMs are always open if you ever want to send a message or just to say Hi :D
Thank you for reading all the way through!

Holy awesome collection. I personally prefer pirating stuff but I can see the upside of having physical media as well. Some things are just better physical sometimes. =]

Such a neat collection! Most I've come to having this much is both my card collection and book collection. This inspires me to look for more DVDs I'm interested in again if I ever have the chance, though I know there's hardly any space for me to put them.
I don't think I'm ever going to have enough space for my DVD, honestly

The widespread curse for collectors, not having enough space.

The further into adulthood I get, the more I really value actually owning my own media. Sure, streaming services are cool and all, but I don't really like the fact that anything can just be deleted from my own devices on a whim. And there's something so special about seeing a physical collection that you've worked on for a long time. I've started keeping CDs in my car and watching our family DVDs again and it's so much fun. I love this collection!!! Really excited to see updates as it goes :)
That's what I've been trying to explain to my family
. Like, I understand that streaming is very convenient to use. But now, since companies want to delete shows and movies and move them around alot, it gets harder to watch what you want with streaming services.

Exactly! And then there's the ethics of streaming, with rights and fair compensation and whatnot, and it gets even more complicated...
