My job

Hey, so I work at Chuck E. Cheese. It is easily the worst job I have ever had. My boss treats me like dirt, the parents treat me like I’m a babysitter they can just be jerks to, and worst of all, my coworkers are lazy assholes that don’t do anything. There are a few coworkers I like that actually work but the rest just put all of the weight on my shoulders because they are lazy, it is bullshit and is the reason I’m looking for a different job. One might wonder what exactly I do at CEC, I am supposed to be a game room attendant, meaning I am supposed to fix arcade machines, clean them, and test them, however, all I have really done is watch a trampoline (hence my comment on being a slave babysitter). Worst of all, I get paid like absolute dick, I make $15 per hour (before taxes), after taxes it’s more like $10.25 per hour, this may not sound too bad to some but it’s absolutely unacceptable when I have to pay car insurance and fix my vehicle so it passes inspection this year. One way to combat this is get more hours, however, there are two MAJOR issues as to why I can’t do that, first, my manager won’t schedule me more than 20 hours a week (despite being an adult etc.) so I only make like $140 every week, so basically a months pay check goes straight into bills, and forget trying to pick up shifts for other employees, they never respond to my texts. In conclusion, working at Chuck E. Cheese has made me realize my worth, especially since I have a year of retail experience, I should be making minimum $16 per hour. I plan to ask my boss for a raise however I think he won’t budge; especially since he wouldn’t promote me despite my hard work claiming I needed to “focus more”, what it’s really code for is “I don’t want to promote you but I think you would be more angry if I just said that, so I’m going to just lie”

I recently sent an application into guitar center as a guitar technician and I’m hoping if I bother the store enough their manager will look at my resume.
