I feel like one of my greatest gifts is the ability to just understand things.
It’s what’s gotten me this far in my school career and has allowed me to progress at extraordinary rates in my hobbies and passions.
It frustrates me watching people struggle to grasp ideas or methods that come almost second nature to me. What do you mean people don’t automatically know how to navigate new software? Or understand maths processes and equations without memorising them?
My parents say my greatest skill is just faffing with things: messing around and figuring out stuff till they work. I have to say it’s probably the reason for my quick understanding. I love tearing things apart.
I’m not quickly proficient at everything though. I tend to get software and IT related things the fastest (probably because of having grown up with computers), maths and physics. But I can be really bad when it comes to social things, history, English, etc… like sure I can learn those things but it takes a lot more effort.
Idk why I even wrote this. Just wanna yap about it lol.

THIS IS SO REAL. i feel the same about basically everything you said. emphasis on that software thing you said!!! its insane how theres people who for instance use chrome, then try edge and think its a completely different thing to learn.
understanding is so cool, but i gotta comprehend others better, too.
Thank god I’m not alone!
I hate watching people in my family get lost when using computers and talk about how the computer “doesn’t make sense” like it’s so frustrating. They always call me in to fix whatever “problem” they’re having (it’s usually something so minor)
