- WELCOME ! -
hello every1 ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა !! in this blog, im gonna yap a bit about books i've read. but first of all, i want to apologize for not having posted any blogs for a few months now. i've been pretty busy w school, not to mention this blog was supposed to be posted last week, but i accidentally closed google nd the blog got deleted. anyway, having said that, let's begin ~ ₍^. .^₎⟆
lately i've been reading lots of books from different genres. imo reading is a rlly fun hobby to kill time, as well as playing piano. here are a few books i've read:
1- little women by louisa may alcott: had to put this one first bcz i rlly enjoyed reading it :33 it's one of my fav classic lit books, and i think it's a pretty easy read despite how long it was. so if you're new to classic literature nd want a recommendation, this one can be a good choice :D
2- a dog's journey by w. bruce cameron: i'm gonna be honest, i cried at the end of this book. it's a mix of funny, gloomy, and happy moments. i might reread it someday.
3- the first to die at the end by adam silvera: i LOOVEEDDD this book sm!! at first i was scared my mom would get mad at me for reading it bcz my family isnt exactly lgbt-friendly, but fortunately, she didnt notice nd thought it was a simple book about two friends (yeah... "friends"... AJSDJSAD). aside from that, i loved reading abt valentino and orion's relationship and the amount of angst in it ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა
4- lolita by vladimir nabokov: this might be the most concerning one in this list if you know what it is abt. i'm guessing most people misinterpret it as a "romance" book bcz of some descriptions abt lolita. nabokov did a great job in writing the way humbert tries to justify himself (despite what he's doing still being wrong) and how much lolita is actually suffering. i've seen some people s3xualizing this book nd honestly wtf ??
5- the secret garden by frances hodgson burnett: honestly i bought this book bcz the title reminded me of a song i used to like a lot when i was in my animation memes era. this book was still rlly fun to read tho, even if i don't remember much about it bcz it's been a few years since i read it ૮ ․ ․ ྀིა
i've read other books, but these were all i could think abt at the moment! i'm currently reading coraline by neil gaiman, and while i've been enjoying it so far, i wish i hadn't watched the movie first so i could've used my imagination more ( • ᴖ • 。) anyway, feel free to leave book recs in the comments ^_^ bye ~
