Late night update chat!

Hey guys! It's been a sec since I updated anything, but a lot has happened since my last blog post. I think it's actually insane how much change has happened in such a short time, but I know where to begin. Shortly after making the last blog post, my mom was kinda sorta hit by a car. I KNOW I KNOW ITS A LOT but shes ok trust me. I was on the phone with my ex-girlfriend now, and BOOM, she was hit. I spent like 4 nights in the hospital, and she got surgery. I guess it was a lot, seeing as I was only one year accepting the fact that I lost my dad to cancer, and it was scary thinking I was going to lose my mom as well. She made it through, though, and we went home. I take care of her daily, waking up at 8 am, even on the weekends, to help around the house. I still work and do my dual enrollment college program at the same time, and it gets a bit overwhelming, but I've managed to make it this far! I actually met someone at my school who really made things not feel impossible, and her name is Reagan. I met her in my speech class, and we started to chat, and I gave her a rundown of my scenario. Ya know, dead dad, mom hit by car, loving life though! She probably felt pity for me, but she introduced me to her friend group, and I gotta be honest, it's SO SO NICE. Reagan doesn't really know how much she helped me, but she just has this attitude that's so bright and "I don't care what you think, I'm gonna be happy and be me." That's actually dumb as when I type it, but it is the best way to describe what I'm talking about. She is my best friend here. Also, I made my first friend here in a year. But her personality and bright and cool nature inspired me to be the best version of me I want to be. I want to be happy, bright, and someone who people can look to like I do to Reagan and see someone who doesn't let pain make them bitter but instead enjoys life to the fullest extent. ANYWAYS ENOUGH GLAZING. I finished my first semester and got ALL A's. English 111 and speech class are all done, baby! The new semester starts on Monday, and I am ready to take on the last half of my junior year! I'll probably write more blogs about hangouts I've been having recently with my new friends. Here's to a promising last few teenage years. Maybe I can actually be a kid for a second.
