do ya'll actually know if art can make money somehow

i'm js asking bc art is legit ALL i do but all I hear ppl talk abt is normal jobs n shi💔 i can't imagine myself doing anything else rn. like fym I actually have to go to a college and study something??? ew?? anyways, I want to be an artist but not a starving one 😭💔

Looking at your profile and seeing that you're 14, I think you still have a lot of time to grow a platform and business surrounding art. However, it would take a lotttt of work. I would also suggest going into a trade, just in case.

I think art as a freelancer can be just another form of passive/i> income usually, but who knows? Maybe you'll strike gold and be recognized quickly and get a lot of commissions enough to make a living wage! :-)

Doing commissions is one way to get money from art. Don't ask me how to do it, but still. What I've heard from my friends being artists as a job is that it is absolute pain and agony, which is why I draw and do art and shit more as a hobby rather than as something I'd do for a living.
