Technology—And Generations

I hate it when teachers only rely on technology. I know we live in the modern era, and we have new gadgets—new stuff we can use for our generation and whatever. But in my country, we're quite literally close to poverty and teachers expect a student to have their own cellphone.

This is a problem in my class and SOME of my teachers only rely on phones and TV's like come on, whatever happened to our generation? We used to pick words on dictionary if tasked and now we're wanted—expected to do online tests and would scold the student if they didn't have a phone or any phone to use nearby. Having a phone is really hard to buy especially with the economy and the prices of phone's going up.

And I even heard that the first graders to third graders have their own cellphone agenda and that really sucks. We shouldn't expose our children to the media. My cousin (9), a gen alpha gets weird content from the internet and we need to limit that, she also has a YouTube shorts channel she uses to form a content of her own, fortunately her comments are on Kid's Mode so no one could be spitting weird comments. I'm not one of those sociopaths who wish that we didn't have phones, maybe I am one of those but I'm just saying that we need to limit our access with gadgets especially with children.

i agree sooo much. not only does it damage the brain, it’s also environmentally damaging. it’s also incredibly unreliable.
