SQUISKER || YOKAI WATCH

Hihi hello!! You guessed it more!!!! Yapping from my one doc "u" It's copy pasted from my mckraken music rant and was supposed to be a continuation but then I got embarassed. I remembered I'm cool and based tho so posting it here now with additions >:) BTW! THIS IS A WIP! STILL ADDING...

Anyways enough music stuff for now,,, I also kinda wanna yap about Squisker. In my personal hc, I've always thought he was his uncle of some sort, which kinda implies McKraken had parents but. I don't wanna think about that right now (aka. I don't know what to make of that/don't have hcs or like any thoughts on him yet). It mentioned something in his original medallium entry about being pretty damn well known by Yōmakai before he was sent to hell the inferno for the crime of being affiliated with Squidiot...His ass is Not gonna be happy to see McKraken when he gets out the inferno....I'm sure he'll!!! Come around!!! Maybe. I kinda have an idea of what I think Squisker is like if anyone wants to hear about that. Just kidding you're gonna hear about it

• He was a minister, so we can assume he was a bit closer to the Enma bloodline!! I had a bit of an idea that he sort of used to help with McKraken’s campaign until he noticed his views shifting more…the yokai equivalent of right. 

• For my friends who I haven’t explained it to yet; the infinite inferno is basically yokai prison/hell in game, and beyond the 4th wall it’s a post-game exploratory area that basically has more difficult versions of all the in-game bosses. They all have lore, and Squisker is the Inferno’s McKraken. (Also technically mckraken is the last name; Squisker’s full name is Squisker McKraken!!) I explain all this cause it’ll be relevant for the next few headcanons.

• Okok thought of something for the whole ‘uncle’ thing. SO, most yokai aren’t really related, but either look similar enough to pass as cousins or just find community with each other. While direct relation is possible (Like with Insomni and Allnyta), it’s less common to be born with relatives save for preexisting bloodlines. That is to say; Not blood but yur

• Squisker was well-respected among the community, and there was quite a bit of outrage regarding his (assumedly permanent but subject to change???) banishment to the inferno.

• The minister is pretty damn strong, and can more than hold his own. Gonna group this one with this since it’s short and semi-related, but the Inferno bosses know about each other!! Squisker hates Dr Nogut. He thinks he’s unreasonable and that something about him’s off in a way he can’t describe. Was a tad surprised when he saw the resemblance between him and Maddiman.

• Kinda more of a scenario than an actual headcanon, but I can’t imagine that watching a loved one deteriorate to the point of harming others (as well as himself later on even if the story presents it in a more subtle way) would be very fun. They’ve had their fair share of disputes in the past, but it was usually an agree to disagree thing until McKraken revealed his more. Outrageous take

• Post ykw2, (maaaaybe mid 3? Idk at the earliest its pre 3, latest its. In 4 which is not likely) once he finally got free one way or the other, he sounded different. Not just different, but worse. Can’t imagine the Inferno would do wonders for any ‘kai not native.
