I feel like as society, we've been so groomed to consuming instant, rapid-fire content that just fries your brain of all dopamine receptors. Even to just sit down again and 'blog' feels like I'm sitting down to write my highschool essay ๐·°(⋟﹏⋞)°·๐
Normal social media mostly strips you of all critical thinking, peace or clarity. I love spacehey cause whenever I visit people's profiles, it's SOO full of life and customization- I feel like I'm entering someone else's own slice of the internet. I can derive so much of the person's character from it, their personality, what they like, who they are as compared to the ultra-curated posts on instagram for example.
I hope to meet like-minded friends here and just share my thoughts and hear from others!!.. If there's even any1 reading this just drop a comment and let me knoowww.. Inshallah I'll be blogging every other day

What I hate most abt modern social media is that it picks the content for you...
You don't have to pick and choose what you want to read or watch, the algorithm just shoots an infinite amount of stuff at you till you get bored and hop off. It feels so much better to scroll through the blog section on here, and then pick a blog to read when the title catches your eye. Or to check on your friends through the bulletins. I miss when social media only showed you stuff from ppl you followed unless you were actively looking for something new. It really changed how people used social media
I know right, it feels like it changed from 'connection' to 'consumption'.. I also hate how the algorithm picks out what retains my attention the most, which feeds into whatever weaker, more exploitable part of myself which will consume braindead slop.
