Highlights of the Ceremony
Magical Opening with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo
The night kicked off with a spectacular joint performance by Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, paying tribute to The Wizard of Oz and Wicked. They performed "Over the Rainbow" and "Defying Gravity." Personally, I wasn't a fan of Wicked, but I must admit their opening captivated me.
Adam Sandler’s Humorous Cameo
Adam Sandler made a surprise appearance during host Conan O'Brien’s opening monologue, dressed as... Adam Sandler.
Kieran Culkin’s Emotional Speech
Upon receiving the award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in A Real Pain, Kieran Culkin acknowledged Jeremy Strong’s incredible performance (who, in my opinion, gave the best acting in The Apprentice) and shared his wish to have four children with his wife.
In Memoriam Tribute
The ceremony featured a heartfelt tribute to several actors. Morgan Freeman led the tribute during the In Memoriam segment.
Margaret Qualley Stuns in James Bond Tribute
Margaret Qualley participated in the James Bond tribute, alongside the performances by Lisa, Doja Cat, and Halle Berry.
Personally, I had quite a few surprises at this year’s awards. It was gratifying to see Flow win Best Animated Feature and, of course, to enjoy the five awards Anora took home.
If there's one thing that frustrated me, it was the absence of director Luca Guadagnino and his work.
Moreover, if I had to change something, I would probably give the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor to the incredible Jeremy Strong for his work in The Apprentice.
For many, it was a disappointment that Timothée didn't win the Oscar for Best Actor, but I think it wasn't his time, as Adrien Brody's performance is far superior to his.
Additionally, our dear Demi Moore, who seemed to have the Oscar in the bag, lost to Mikey Madison, who, if you ask me, was amazing in her role as Anora. However, the Academy would have made the right choice if they had given the victory to Demi Moore.
That’s all from the 97th edition of the Oscars. I hope you enjoyed it, and remember that the Academy has always left a lot to be desired in recent years, so don’t make unnecessary fuss.

For me the greatest momment of the night was I'm Still Here winning best International Film, being the first Brazilian film to win a statuette. Best Film was a distant dream and just being indicated in this category is already a big thing, i also really think Fernanda Torres deserved to win best actress -such a strong, tragic and subtle performance- but i'm not mad at Madison winning.
