1. DONT WAIT FOR AN ADVERTISEMENT -> dont wait for a job to post on Indeed/Seek or any career site, not only is there a small chance they will give you an interview or response, but most jobs will advertise the same position for a long time and not take anyone, wasting your time. Handing out your CV will give you more of a chance for a response and will appear better than applying online. If they tell you to "apply online" LIE, tell them you checked and their isnt nay listings, forcing them to take your resume.
2. EMAIL AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO RANDOM JOBS -> Instead of waiting for a specific job or any job posting a position. google jobs and check if they have a website or their contact details and email an expression interest. Some will reply and give you an interview or trial shift. Some may also feel more inclined to reply.
3. KEEP APPLYING, EVEN IF YOU HAVE AN INTERVIEW -> dont hold out hope for one specific job, many employers will have multiple candidates and interviews for the same position you're applying for. Make sure to accept every interview you are given, even if you already have one. Dont drop possible new and better opportunities, another job may provide better hours, pay and work environment. if you find yourself with multiple job offers, narrow down the best and most reliable you believe you will succeed in. once you make your choice, email your other job options politely, telling them you have accepted another job offer and thank them for their time and consideration.
