In short: oohuhehuehueh my favorite little critter :]
In long:
The episode starts with Ash, Brock, and Misty going to a Poke center due to Pikachu needing some help. When they get there, the staff are in a panic due to the transfer machine not working properly and people's pokemon appearing switched for another. It is after being introduced to Akihabara-hakase by Nurse Joy that the team is instructed to go to his house in order to learn about and help with the problem. After arriving at the house, they unwittingly walk into a human-sized transfer machine and they're soon introduced to porygon. Along with being told what they need to do, they're told the actual problem. A sort of "virus" has appeared and is blocking the passage of the transferred pokeballs and pokemon, said virus being Team Rocket. They are then transferred to the computer world. After riding on top of porygon for a bit, they soon find Jessie, James, and Meowth, who have barricaded the passage. It is then soon revealed that the Team Rocket members had taken their own porygon, porygon 0, who they send out after a brief fight. While the two porygons are fighting, the team unblock the passage. It is then revealed that Nurse Joy had brought in someone to help with the virus, not knowing that the situation had already been dealt with. The "vaccine" arrives in the form of a car shooting missiles and both our team and Team Rocket must escape on their respective porygons lest they be blown up. After getting hit by the vaccine's now stronger missile and getting trapped in a hole, the Team Rocket members are saved by the others. While escaping into the transfer portal back home, two missiles also go through the portal leading to Akihabara's house being destroyed as well as the human-sized transfer machine.
Pretty good episode, it's kinda funny too. I like the character of Akihabara-hakase, he's just some weird guy and I enjoy that.
Porygon himself is a joyous little creature whom I adore. Their voice(?) is different than how it is in the games, but it kinda makes sense for them. I really like their characterization. While they're mainly being ridden in the episode, they still get to show off their different abilities like conversion and shapeshifting. Also, the part where we see their pov before using conversion is pretty cool.
There's multiple uses of flashing lights throughout the episode, but the ones after Pikachu uses thunderbolt on the missiles seem the most intense. (Though to me, they all had around the same intensity)
Also one last thing, but was while everyone was riding on porygon that pikachu used thunderbolt on the missiles that the big flashing lights appear. So it was pikachu's fault, not porygon's. So if I see anyone saying that it was porygon's fault I'm hitting you with seven hammers.
