Note taking apps are very useful for writing everything or almost anything… It depends a lot of the person and that’s why there is a variety of notepads for PC and phone
I have tried a lot of notepads applications, specially for PC.
The ones that i have liked the most are Obsidian and Beaver Notes.
By far my best choose has been Beaver Notes, feels more comfy for writing about thoughts, reminders and documentation for what i most use in Linux and Windows like commands for the terminal, useful tips that i can forgot for some programs like blender and lists of things i want to do later in these OS.
Every person is a whole universe, i have friends that like to use Visual Studio Code, Notepad++, Wordpad, OneNote and other more just for regular notes, like this one.
And i understand people that like to use different notepads for different things, i used a lot OneNote on College and Obsidian for daily things, but right now i am just using Beaver Notes ദ്ദി •⩊• )

I use OneNote for my school notes, and my notes app for pretty much any small things I need to write. I def need to go through and delete the unused ones xD.
OneNote is good bc u can have different notebooks for the subjects, and separate by units and what not. Only thing is, at least on Mac, it doesn't have the same equation abilities as like word. I had to get a notebook for writing down math examples. It maybe just a Mac thing because the Windows app has some features not on Mac.
It's pretty cool for studying but didn't know that it lacked some things on Mac :0

i tend to use my default notes app from my phone, but i get the approach on going for third-party alternatives!
i LOOOVE writing my thoughts on markdown sometimes. so i tend to write it manually, although its very rare
Hope you can find a good notes app owo
I used to do it on my phone too but i feel more comfy on my PC writing hehe
