The Onset

The energies aligned and coalesced for the first time at 33ACE, in a cluster of lands between Greece, Egypt and TΓΌrkiye. She became for convenience the courtesan of the king of a small town. The lineage was uncertain, but the younger brother, the army general, prevailed. He participated influentially in a war between brother kingdoms, and emerged victorious. A little after this war, about two years later, there was the reason for her disembodiment. The events that were approaching would determine my future for centuries to come, for lifetimes to come. The king's younger brother, who was also the king of the neighboring kingdom, became obsessed with the newest courtesan, and decided he would have her no matter what. And so he did, he kidnapped the young woman to his own kingdom. His brother, however, would not turn a blind eye to this. After many failed negotiations, he sent the army to recover what belonged to him. The young king, not knowing when to give up, decided that if he can't have it, no one will. And then heads rolled, not hers though. The general decapitated him with his usual bravery. This would cost him dearly, of course. The king, furious that his young brother was dead, decided that the brothers and their bloodlines should perish. And so again heads rolled, and again the it wasn't hers. The general killed the king, the kingdom went mad, the general and his family had to flee to distant lands, but the courtesan would need to follow her own path, she would have to escape the hunters on her own, with no more generals or kings or swords to help her. Or to cause her more trouble. She realized there that her life was like a prey, always running away and protecting herself. Not anymore. With her own blood, she sealed what would be her destiny. She decided that she would never again be the sacrificial lamb, and that her blood would only be shed by her own will, by her own hands. She swore by blood, by the sun, by the moon, by the stars, and by her own soul.
