If the price of iPods in your area has calmed down yet I'd suggest them, they really are a cut above the rest in every way [better build quality, spare parts are still manufactured, better ui]

If iPod prices are still obliterated by dankpods then I cannot rlly recommend certain brands of MP3 players since there are so many of them and the ones available at any point in time vary so wildly that it would take all day to compile a list of common but also ok MP3 players and im lazy, the best way 2 go about it is to find a listing for a cheap MP3 player that u think looks cool and do ur own research to see if its made well or not, I'd lean more into older higher end stuff than newer but "cheaper" stuff yk

Or you could get a good iPod shuffle 1g clone, those are nice since there's basically nothing 2 cheap out on so they stay relatively well made but u dont get a screen

I'd seriously suggest getting an iPod though
