"We accept the love we think we deserve"

"We accept the love we think we deserve"

I've just pick up the book that I've read because i love the smotututuss , but now it became one of my favorites,

I've realized that I have a thing for flawed characters,

What makes us different from other beings is that we're able to distinguish the rights from the wrongs, Then does that mean that when you do good things, u're a good person?, and when you did bad things you're a bad person?, I don't think so. Humans aren't that simple to fit into these black and white category. What I really adore in these "Flawed characters" is that the line blurs around the thing that separates the rights and wrongs, They did bad stuff but does that make them bad person?, I don't think so, does it makes them any less of a human?, quite the opposite, I rather liked these "unsightly" behaviour of them as this is a indication that we are indeed like them, we are tied with our instinct, enslaved by our emotions that may cause us to act rashly, but that's what i think it takes to be a human, to be flawed.,,, and it hurts to see someone mischaracterized these characters, oversimplify them and label them as red flags,...... (maybe that's why It's kinda hard to depth within those characters in some stories as if the only thing that makes them are their good actions only)

their emotional baggage, flaws, and past traumas shape the way they approach love. Both characters seem to be struggling with the concept of love they believe they deserve.

The way the story goes from resentment, to realizations of their own situations, to distancing oneself as that what he thought the best for himself, to gain the self respect he think he needs,....yet the other seems to realize their own feelings, this plot is pretty cliche tbh, but I was really intrigued the way the author lay down in breaking down these scenarios for their individual growth, the separation they needed, the time.

"I dont want to give off the impression that taewhan's scars absolved him,and it was crucial for yeonwu to accept him based on his love for taehwan rather than guilt and pity"

I want to give my sincerest gratitude for the author for taking these things into account, the way the author takes time to embracing the characters complexity and it would be unjustly to fix this with a simple happy ending, also, I think most of the romance "past trauma trope" that i've read leaned towards this as a resolution for the final reward which is where they will finally get together, as that is what they believed is the HAPPY ENDING, the fact that they continue to progress after the commitment and they finished to where it all began when he kissed him when he was asleep..., The guy he kissed opened up to him (whom he now in a relationship with) about his trauma, later on he replayed that scenario in his mind , to realize that expression plastered on the guy he kissed was rather than anger and disgust, he was rather looked sad, and the apology, THE APOLOGY, the apology he deserved, that's the nicest ending wooow

After going through a lot sorting out their feelings for each other, sunshine and rainbows isn't guaranteed after the commitment in relationship,

The way their relationship progress from development individually and growth as a couple, and still growing together individually, these two people that see each other as equals, and not just as projects to "fix." It’s the acceptance of each other’s flaws without trying to "save" each other, but rather to evolve with each other, that makes their relationship feel so real and fulfilling. Their relationship doesn't limit them, they're not bound together but rather they complete each other and i think that what makes their story really fascinating, The way they mature througout the relationship.

We accept the love we think we deserve"  through their individual journeys and relationship, begin to accept the love they truly deserve, not because of guilt, but because of genuine growth and self-respect.

It's too good to be a fiction , as if i've watched them falling in love
