INCIDENT AT VICHY IS SO FUCKING GOOD.

All caps title to attract your intention. Arthur Miller cooked again with this play: there's just something so human in the interactions between the ten suspects. While most all of them represent different archetypes & groups of people, Miller manages to incorporate a small part of humanity into every character, with their disagreements all feeling real & like they could have actually occurred in real life between prisoners. The clash between French idealism, Nazi authority, & paranoia makes the play so unbelievably amazing & the ending scene is amazing. Miller purposely chooses NOT to give the play an ending in order to emphasize the dichotomy between Von Berg & the Major (both characters who eventually turn out as foils of each other). I love Miller's work so much, & this is easily the best One Act I've ever read.
