IK I said I'd be waiting until mid-March to do my first "real" stretch, but I got a little impatient and wanted to try again yesterday. I got out of the shower, massaged my ears with jojoba oil, and made an attempt. I started with my right ear, and there was a tiny pinch. I was halfway through with the taper and it was a tiny bit painful. I should have given up for the night and resumed with my original plan, but I'm sure you know it's hard to be patient sometime.
I massaged my ear and tried spinning the taper a little. Before I knew it, the taper was nearly all the way through. Not wanting to lose my progress, I grabbed the plug and fed it through my ear. Boy did it sting. The main rule of ear stretching is to not proceed if there's pain, but I wanted to achieve that first real stretch so bad.
I held off on putting the o-ring on and went to my left ear. That one was more or less the same, except the plug didn't go in the first time so I had to put the taper through twice. I got it in, albeit that one hurt a little more than the right. I know, I know. But it's been done, and I've been cleaning them and massaging them with oil as I should.
From here on out, I'll be waiting the *proper* amount of time between stretches. Now that I've gotten to the 14g/1.6mm point, I'm okay with having to wait until later in April to size up (at the earliest).
Anywho, until my next post.
