2/23/25: kill bill vol 2 (6/10)

So, I could've sworn I already made a blog about this movie but I might've accidentally deleted it during a cleanup so- 

Kill bill vol 2 capped off the story pretty well in my opinion, though I'm gonna be completely honest, that ending fight was a huge let down for me. they just really hyped up The bride's anger and bill's abilities throughout the two films only for the two to be sitting in chairs for their entire fight- it was just pretty lame considering the first movie ended with those two amazing fight sequences. 

also, this film kinda just reinforced my thoughts on Vivica a fox's character. the second film gives Bill's brother and current lover more backstory than her and it was just really sad to see, especially considering the fact that the film was supposedly also in part an homage to blaxploitation films (but not in the same vain as Jackie brown). and it's different than the way we don't get any explicit backstory for our main character, because there's no implied reason for ViVICA'S CHARACTER TO BE LIKE THAT.

though, all in all they were decent films, I still prefer FROM DUSK TILL DAWN, BUT I STILL HAVEN'T SEEN TARANTINO'S FULL FILMOGRAPHY JUST YET.
