2/28/2025…
Long Live the King
Six Flags Great Adventure announced Kingda Ka’s closure in november to make way for the new 2026 coaster that’s supposed to break more world records, on 2/28/2025 Kingda Ka was completely demolished, with the large top hat feature of the ride being imploded
The 456ft tall rollercoaster imploded perfectly, and fell apart (like legos… literally) with ease. This is a sad day for the rollercoaster community. With its grand opening in 2005, this made Ka 20 years old, and to think i rode it back when i was 9 years old and loved it and constantly rode it every time i went, breaks a BIG piece of my heart.
This was the rollercoaster that MADE me an enthusiast, this is the rollercoaster that MADE me research rollercoasters and learn everything about them.
I can safely say… I conquered the Ka.
