It's finally getting warmer outside! Hopefully. Now that I've said that, it probably won't anymore. Still, I got to go to the park earlier for the first time in months, so that was nice. I'm missing my favourite theme park recently. Hanging out on the swings kinda feels a bit like a rollercoaster, in the sense that there's at least wind in your hair.
Anyway, anybody seen that new game Solarpunk on Steam? My partner showed it to me earlier; it looks awesome. He described it as "Raft Survival with Astroneer physics", and I think that describes it pretty well. It's a survival game that takes place in the sky on floating islands. You can build houses, farms, machines, robots, airships, wells, all sorts of things. It also has a weather cycle. The game is currently in demo, having literally just released, but is supposed to eventually be co-op, so you can play it with friends. My laptop can't run it (outdated graphics card), so I hope it releases on console at some point. Maybe I'll stream it sometime, who knows.
I like the style of the game. It's a bit like a more tech-oriented, 3D Stardew Valley. I like how much freedom the game gives you to build things; they're even currently having a house-building contest in the demo, with the top 15(iirc) houses winning a bunch of free game keys. If only my laptop didn't run in a smooth singular frame a minute, then I would participate and, ideally, win some cool stuff.
I'm looking forward to watching this game progress. Who knows, maybe it'll get wicked popular. That'd be pretty cool.
That's all for now. Ciao!
