My Temu “punk” friend

b4 I start, let me say, I luv my friend. Shes really funny and smart and my life in hs would be really boring without her, just that she’s 1 of those alternative ppl that use Temu…

Starting from the begging, I used to go on a different highschool b4 the one I’m in rn, but after sum health problems and bullying I went to a dif school, that’s where I recognized a friend from my old hs. This friend (who I’ll call Kelly) greeted me and introduced me to her friends, that’s where I met the Temu girl who I’ll call Beebee.

Beebee was cool, the school I go to haz uniforms but I could tell she was alternative bc of a belt she was wearing, her black nailz and she told me she was into rock. The first days with her were awkward but we got along quickly. 

Kelly believes in god (honestly idk if she’s christian or catholic I’m so srry) so I couldn’t talk about sum of my interest with her, but with Beebee , I could talk about demonology, alt bands, horror movies and weird stuff. One day she asked me if I used Temu, and I ofc said “hell no”, and she told me to download it so she could send me links, Kelly told me the same. Idk how Temu works and all that link stuff, but I told her that I wouldn’t and that I don’t like Temu and they shouldnt use it, they ignored me but we didn’t talked about it again.

All that happened in like sophomore year and now we are in senior year. 

Some weeks ago I noticed Beebee trying to be more alt, wearing punk hairstyles and darker makeup. I liked it honest, she looked more confident. Also, she likes a boy so I think she’s doing all that to look prettier.

The point iz that at lunch, me, Beebee and another guy friend (we’ll call him Toto bc idk) were talking. Then Beebee said “I wanna dress punk”. That’s where I thought; “this is my chance to give her a lesson about where punk fashion comes from and why Temu is bad. So I told her, “you can’t be punk if you shop at Temu” Then she ROLLED HER EYES and stared at me. “Why?” And I started to tell her; “punk is about rejecting big brands and doing all yourself, about self expression and-“ “just ignore her, wear whatever you want” interrupted Toto, and just as I wanted to tell him to let me finish she said “I know, I’m not gonna listen to her” So I just looked at her, kinda mad and then shut my mouth.

This happened sum weeks ago but this week she said “I wanna be goth” and then I told her; “you can’t be goth if u don’t listens to the music” then she again rolled her eyes and told me “just the style” so I shut my mouth again bc I didn’t wanted to fight.

Beebee and I are very similar, and we both always think we are right, so when we disagree with each other we won’t shut up. I luv her but she will never understand what being alternative is about and she will never listen to me because she thinks I’m dumb. She calls me “baby” or “sweety” or even “poor little (my name)” She thinks I’m dumb?!?

Anyways, sorry this is too long, I wanted to vent somewhere but my only alt friend already listened to me and I still felt mad lolz
