Driving anxiety

Does anyone else get driving anxiety? I feel like throwing up when I have to drive, but I think I’m fine at it.

I got my license in December and a car loan in January. It feels like it’s been forever but I still feel so unsure on the road.

I’m going to pick my sister up from school soon. Idk. Having a bad anxiety day.

If you dont enjoy driving and you feel intense anxiety and uncomfortability around the prospect of driving, you should maybe consider alternative forms of transport.

Not everyone is meant to be a driver and if driving is something you feel is a dragging necessity that you only do out of force, you should definitely consider other forms of transport such as e biking, public transport, cycling, walking and other alternate methods of transport, which are safer for you and *most importantly, safer for pedestrians and people around you.

If you enjoy driving, the anxiety will pass and this will be temporary.

If not, it could be time to consider handing in the keys.

I used to get it pretty bad too. I used to have nightmares about crashing 🫨. But I would just force myself to watch videos on driving. Especially this one channel where this guy has been struggling to learn how to drive for absolutely ages now and he's still trying to get the basics down ( his brother's fault for being an awful instructor ). But it's funny to watch and made me feel better. Just keep at it! It will get better
