What the heck Shrek 5?! - Rant

Did anyone see the trailer? I personally think it's awful and such a huge disappointment. The animation makes the characters look like they got airbrushed and they lost so much of their charm. Kinda Illumination style... which isn't necessarily the best when it comes to detailed characters.

I don't like the fact that they grew the kids up either. It's giving Ice Age 4 kind of vibes and that one is my least favorite of the franchise. And Felicia reminds me of Peaches, which I'm not too fond of.

No hate to celebrities but I really wish they were actual voice actors involved in movies nowadays. I don't like the fact that they have to slap a famous name to bring traction to a movie. I'm not a big fan of it, but each to their own.

I'm with everyone that it deserves the Sonic treatment. Maybe it's the early works but that's just disappointing and sad. But I feel like it's getting targeted to kids more, rather than the people that grew up with the movies.

I don't know but my hopes for the movie are crushed and I'm just devastated (dramatic, I know). But Shrek deserved better than this.
