Today’s Pokémon Presents brought several exciting announcements for franchise fans, featuring news on new games, expansions, and updates for existing titles. If you missed it, here’s a summary of the most important highlights:

Pokémon Legends: Z-A
One of the most anticipated announcements was the first look at Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the new entry in the Pokémon Legends saga. This time, the story takes place in Luminalia City, the capital of the Kalos region, confirming rumors of a possible return to the Pokémon X & Y generation.
The trailer showcased a vibrant metropolis where humans and Pokémon coexist more closely than ever, with a gameplay style similar to Pokémon Legends: Arceus, but with a more urban focus. While details are still scarce, we know the game is set to release in 2025 for the Nintendo Switch.

Pokémon Champions – New Multiplayer Battle Game
Another important announcement was Pokémon Champions, a new game focused on online battles. This game will allow players to import their teams from titles like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and Pokémon Home, adding a competitive twist to the battle experience.

It will be released for both Nintendo Switch and mobile devices sometime in 2025, although there’s no specific release date yet.

Pokémon TCG Pocket Expansion
The collectible card game didn’t fall behind, with the reveal of the fourth expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, titled Triumphant Light. This new set of cards will be released on February 28, 2025, bringing new mechanics and strategies for players.

Mobile Game Updates
Pokémon’s mobile titles also received updates:
➩ Pokémon Unite: Suicune will be added in March, with Alolan Raichu in April and Alcremie in the coming months.
➩ Pokémon Masters EX: Celebrates its 5.5-year anniversary with new companion pairs.
➩ Pokémon Sleep: A special event called “Cresselia vs. Darkrai” was announced for March 2025.
➩ Pokémon Café Remix and New Animated Series Episodes
➩ Players of Pokémon Café Remix will receive new apple-themed recipes and special outfits for their Pokémon.

On the other hand, Netflix confirmed that the animated series "Pokémon Concierge" will have new episodes in September 2025, continuing the Pokémon resort stories.

That's all the Pokémon Presents had for us this time. While some announcements were expected, the return to Kalos with Pokémon Legends: Z-A was one of the biggest surprises of the event. Now we just have to wait for more details on these releases and see what else 2025 has in store for the franchise
