A Fever You Can't Sweat Out: My rating and why :D

Hii!! So, I’m a huge fan of p!atd especially old p!atd. I think it’s a common consensus that Panic’s best albums are A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out and Pretty. Odd. My personal favorite Panic album is Fever, AND it’s my favvv album of all time and it has been since I first heard it in middle school honestly. Since I love this album so much, I wanted to rate it or share my opinions.

So…to start
For those who don’t know..Panic! At The Disco was founded in 2004 in a suburb of Las Vegas called Summerlin. Panic was first started by who most consider to be the frontman (and most handsome) Ryan Ross as a guitarist and vocalist, and then Spencer Smith as the Drummer. They were then joined by Brendon Urie as the main vocalist and Brent Wilson as the bassist. Ryan wrote the lyrics, while Spencer and Brendon produced. The album Fever was released September 27th, 2005. My BFF was also born that day, she isn’t a huge fan </3. I  can understand disliking the theatrical elements but it makes it that much better for me. The album had a pop-punk and baroque pop sound that made it stand out against other albums made at the time (In my opinion). Anyways let’s get to my ratings I love all of these songs sm but If i had to rate them this is how I would:

1. Lying is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off : oh we all know this whorish ballad, and we all love it. Starting off strong, Ryan has no time to waste. Hate to admit it but Brendon sounds magical. This was always my favorite song off this album because well come on how could it not be like I could listen to this shit all day. Just the lyrics and the backstory behind it, it’s so engaging it’s soooooooooo good TOOOOOO good. (10/10)]

2. Build God Then We’ll Talk: I’m fucking hyperventilating, kidding but no this shit is fire. It’s so creepy and reminds me of a carnival, again gives me my bell fix. The lyrics are wonderfully macabre yet still upbeat..I would kill to hear Ryan on this bitch (he is live tho <3). The bridge is super amusing as well god just all around banger and the VIOLIN GIRLLLL

3. But its better if you do : this shit has forever installed the urge in me to need to go to a burlesque show like let’s shed our skin on stage baby what? This song is just so upbeat so classy like every time it comes on I get out of my seat type shit. It’s so imaginative too like I am in a club right now with Ryan Ross. Just the different instruments they use are so creative and exciting and it makes it feel like i’m watching a musical <3.

4. Time To Dance: as I go on I realize how hard it is to rate this album omg..anyways another set of lyrics I am absolutely infatuated with. Like you start off with some of the hardest bars on the album??? Okayyy. It’s just so like whiny and bitchy and I love it. 1:39 is probably my favorite part of the song just the pronunciation, the production, the lyrics, everything is so fab.

5. Camisado : fire, beautiful, creepy ass beginning I fucking yearn for it, I love how fast paced the lyrics are in every song on the album as well it suits the production so well. The chorus of this song is one of my absolute favorites I used to have “You’re a regular decorated emergency” as my lockscreen…

6. Nails for Breakfast, Tacks for Snacks : I always find myself listening to this one, I just love the lyricism in this song. The lyrics seem dissociated or distanced from the actual reality of the supposed situation described within the song, Ryan you god damn golden god. The guitar riff is also mad catchy and iconic. I love my prescribed pills, very good song.

7. There’s a Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey : like Esteban, this song is super wordy and upbeat and makes me feel like a dancer. The lyrics are so emo and narcissistic and sometimes you just NEED that yk. It’s such a fuck you to an enemy song, it’s so playfully vengeful and bouncy.

8. I Constantly Thank God for Esteban : I love the guitar in this track smm and the lyrics and just the beat in general makes me feel like a seductive dancer in an underground club or something. I like how poetic the lyrics are in this album like this shit is a whole book - I luv u. The chorus is fast and catchy, the lyrics are fun, fab overall!

9. London Beckoned Songs About Money Written by Machines : I love the intense beginning to this song. It's very upbeat but also grabby like yk make a name for yourself back your shit up, type shit. And the chorus..god the chorus it’s so catchy but tbh I hate when Brendon sings like the notes are running away from him. (but tbh he sounds good on this album) again adding electronic elements helps add more texture and layers to the music..just so fire. (7.4/10)

10. The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide Is Press Coverage : The instrumental is very heavy and fast and god just the production in general on this album is fucking crazy good and then it get’s very electronic; a beautiful blend of different qualities that come to creative a cohesive piece of art. The lyrics are very fun, snappy, and engaging. The long title also draws you in in a way, very grabby. Fab ass song

11. I Write Sins Not Tragedies : very overplayed, yes, very good, yes. I really loved bells man and this song fills my bell craving. I always imagine the music video too. We all know she is very catchy, i like the story I think it’s very creative and used good imagery but again i’ve  heard her a million times (same with the whole album tbh) so it still never gets old 😣.

12. Introduction : I think this is a great opener to a great album, very electronic and schizophrenic ass lyrics all pull it together.

13. Intermission : AYE AYE very simple very elegant I won’t rate it very high just because idk it’s an intermission

If you took the time to read my ramblings, thank you I really appreciate it!! :)
