Howdy. Just wanted to write about being productive to counter my current depressive state.
This morning I opted out of going to my morning class. I needed to take another mental health day (I did this yesterday too, except I woke up at 7 and went back to sleep until way later in the day. Although I didn't feel the most productive, I did catch up on some sleep).
I woke up at 7, snoozed until about 7:30, and then decided I didn't have it in me to go to class. I emailed my professor letting her know. I brushed my teeth and decided to do some laundry- which was perfect because nobody is doing that at 8 in the morning lmao. I went and got breakfast for the first time since sometime my freshman year- that was cool. I came back to my dorm, took a shit, folded my laundry, and changed my ringtone to my favorite Linkin Park song (Lying From You).
It's 10:40~ as I'm writing this, and I've already gotten so much done. By this time, my morning class will be wrapping up. I was able to complete so many tasks in the span of a single class (granted, that class is 3 hours long) and I think having today to catch up on all of that really helped me.
As I always say when I wake up early, I wanna do this more often because I like how productive I get. I've got a couple of assignments to knock out, then after that I'll work on some other things.
This is more of a shorter entry today, but I like to try and write more. It helps me keep track of the days. I get to spend the night at my best friend's place, so I'm excited for that. They've helped me so much, and I will forever cherish them.
Hope whoever reads this is doing as good as I am this morning. I hope you do something that makes you feel happy, because you're worth that and so much more.
