dead internet

There's a notion that much of the Internet is fake, with only a few genuine humans navigating it. What do people think about this? Personally, I believe that while the Internet, especially social media, is filled with bots and artificial content, there are still plenty of real individuals out there. The challenge is distinguishing them, and this will likely become even more difficult as AI advances.

Have you ever had the feeling of being completely alone while spending hours scrolling through a social media timeline? I hope it's not just me who has the strange sensation of being surrounded by fake profiles interacting with content from real people, this scares me sometimes as it is becoming more and more common to produce extravagant content called brain rot, content that is full of comments and engagements from empty profiles, who comment on strange and meaningless things just to engage, this has been scaring me in the last few days, but I'm enjoying knowing more about it.

considering as of 2022, nearly half of internet traffic was bots, it's not that crazy.
