Adventure Forward And How It Could Have Been Amazing

HELLO, FELLOW VIEWERS! (crickets!) WELCOME TO THE FIRST EVER BLOG! I know it's 2025 but I love writing on here acting like an old man LOLOL. This is gonna be a holy yap about an otherwise unknown Roblox game that I have played and why it could have strived for more.

So, what is Adventure Forward (AF)?

Adventure Forward is a Roblox game series created by dev Explode1. There are two official games: Adventure Forward: Star Saviour and Adventure Forward 2: Points Of Conflict.

In the first game, the plot is that this villain named Stratosfear. They knocked up all of the stars in the sky and they all landed in different places. So, you venture through the fictional Maytown and collect the stars, as well as have a battle with the antagonist. Not spoiling anything here. Just play the game.

In the second game, the plot is a new villain is on the loose, Celesteal. So, you venture through fictional diverse worlds to get stars whilst befriending and earning the trust of celestial beings called Points.

I really love the lore of these games, honestly. The games are well made, not aesthetically but in terms of story. I honestly think the second game is better (might be bias but whatever) since it delves into the story of these characters.

Now, everyone was waiting for an AF3. Even Explode1 and his dev team were ready.

But of course, Explode1 himself ruined it all.

Explode1 was a creep. He had sexual interactions with minors, as well as being called out for being extremely toxic in his team. That led to the cancellation of this franchise and I am devastated by his actions.

Many people, AF fans alike, tried creating a sequel to these games, but to no avail. Lack of staff, no one interested or again, toxic owners, were the main culprits of this.

In 2018, Explode1 was rightfully terminated from Roblox for these aforementioned crimes, but that meant no updates for the game, and no updates means buggy game. 

AF1 was closed in 2018 due to bugs. Until 2020, two users named resmerc and SirRovers made a deluxe AF1 so people can play normally without bugs. It is still active until this day.

AF2 however, is still open, but it is very buggy. You literally can't play the game. However, SirRovers along with roblox8192 had somehow gotten the games files and restored the game. It is still open!

Now, why am I yapping about this random game with a creepy dev and nonexistent fan base? Because it had potential.

Now you might say "even my ao3 harry styles fanfic has potential too!" and actually, it does! Every project deserves to nurture, especially AF.

AF3 could have been the end of an era. New game, newer points, more lore. I feel like 2 games isn't enough for this franchise. It feels like we need more lore. But now, it's long gone. Just another project that no one wants to get their hands on.
