A cool idea I have for a layout (OS X Mountain Lion)

A while back, I was thinking of changing my profile's layout. Looking through the layouts page, however, I couldn't find any I liked. I don't know about anyone else, but I feel like there are almost no good layouts on the site. None of them suit me, even if I were to edit them.

Then, I had an idea. I've seen some layouts on this website that mimic Windows XP and Windows 9x. They're pretty cool; however, I don't really like the look of those themes on my profile. In fact, I use macOS. So, I thought of a plan for a layout based on Mac.

Using a modern macOS layout isn't exactly the coolest thing in the world, so I thought back to my favorite version of macOS in terms of design: OS X Mountain Lion (10.8) from 2012. It was the last version of OS X with full skeuomorphism, and would work well as a SpaceHey layout. The first thing I did, of course, was to look for a layout that fit this. So I looked for Mac layouts, and found only one result. The "Aqua" layout, made by Cory. This is what it looks like:Aqua LayoutNow, it's nice, but a few things bother me about it. First of all, it keeps the SpaceHey header at the top basically unchanged. Secondly, it uses this really strange looking window. This is because it's trying to look like Mac OS X Tiger (10.4). I've never used such an old version of macOS, so it looks weird to me, especially with the huge window border all the way around. And lastly, the inside of the window keeps the profile mostly unchanged.

I'm looking for a layout that changes the page more, and looks more like Mountain Lion than Tiger. If I knew how to make a SpaceHey layout, I would've made it and used it. However, I barely know how to make a page in HTML, and know absolutely nothing about CSS. That is why I used Google Drawings back in early 2024 (quite a while ago, I know) to make this concept:My concept for a layoutAs you can see, it differs quite a lot from the Aqua layout. First of all, it changes the SpaceHey header and puts everything into a Menu Bar. I think it looks pretty cool, although I suppose it could look a bit cluttered. It also uses a window that only has the title bar (like a regular OS X window), and has the name of the profile instead of just "SpaceHey Profile". As for inside the window, it uses rounded white boxes for the different parts of the profile, and has the signature early 2010s leather as the background. It also has a dock, but I didn't know what to put for the icons, so it's empty.

Now, why am I making a blog post about this? Well, two main reasons.

1. I really like it, and I hope you do too. It is a really unique layout that changes the profile a lot compared to the other "Aqua" layout.

2. I want to ask layout makers: is this possible to make into a layout? And more importantly, can you make it? Again, I would make it myself, but I have absolutely no idea how to even start.

My blog posts don't seem to get many views, but I hope this one gets at least a few, because this is something I really want to see as a layout. I originally shared this in a bulletin back when I first made it, but I don't think anyone saw it; hopefully making it a blog post that is public and doesn't disappear will give it more attention.
