My dreams lately about Mikael & Samael, plus SHINee music? [TW: religion depiction in dreams]

Okay, so around Valentine's Day and some days prior to it, I had some odd dreams during my short sleeps and naps. It centered around me and my boyfriend because I was missing him, but for some reason, I had SHINee songs in my head (mostly because I fell asleep listening to SHINee music), both together in groups and their own solo works, and within my dreams, the following scenario bloomed:

A love story between two archangels - one fallen and one forced to obey. For some reason, my dreams couldn't depict the flashes of bright light of these two holy forms, so humanoid figures replaced them with my subconscious mind working in my sleep, and it led to my boyfriend and I being depicted as these celestial beings.

Let's rewind further:

Within my dream, it started with Heaven - a portrayal of sky and clouds with flashes of wings, eyes, and light. The flashes of light formed into humanoid beings of genderless anatomy with wings. Despite this, many celestial beings had their own preferences for pronouns.

Samael, one of the archangels, was banished by God after rebelling his rule to love humanity. He was banished to Earth to learn his lesson, but rumors flew around the angel garrison soon after the banishment that he created the depths of Hell to hide from humanity and further corrupt them using demons, shadow pets with intelligence.

Mikael, another archangel loyal to the Heavens, cried out in pain when Samael fell from Heaven. He tried to reach out to rescue his brother in arms, but God, seeing Mikael like one of his children (his only true child is Jesus Christ in my dreams, and as he created angels, he saw the archangels as foster children), grabbed him from behind, preventing him from falling. Everyone had watched as Samael's wings charred into a smoky black color while falling rapidly onto Earth, creating a large crater within the dark depths of the oceans. God tried to make Mikael see reason for his judgment ruling, but Mikael grew somber and distant from everyone, working as the dutiful archangel in Heaven.

When Jesus Christ soon entered Heaven after serving his duty on Earth, Mikael overheard him gushing about humanity and overhearing Samael's new moniker, Lucifer, which spread throughout the garrison. No one ever mentioned Samael's real name; it was as if it never existed. Hearing rumors spread across the human souls in Heaven that he was known as Michael and that he slayed Lucifer or is rumored to kill Lucifer during an apocalypse, Mikael broke his resolve and confronted his Father about the rumors. When God resigned to accepting humanity's beliefs about what Heaven is like, Mikael snuck out of Heaven and willingly fell to Earth, using stars at night to help his descent with his wings. His wings in my dream were a creamy white with dusts of glitter across the feathers, almost like constellations.

My dreams were much more clear for this next scene, where William Shakespeare was alive and celebrating one of his works, Romeo & Juliette, being produced. He had a lavish masquerade party in his honor, and a tall handsome gentleman resembling my boyfriend (dressed and groomed to be around the late 1500s) noticed the aura of one female wearing a mask and a beautiful dress of white, black, and gold, which matched his own attire. The masked female in my dreams resembled me.

As soon as their eyes locked, the masked woman quickly ran off, attempting to sneak through the crowd and hid into a storage room for costume props. The masked man ran after her and managed to corner her in the room as he locked the door behind him. She stood a few feet in front of him, but her back was turned to him.

In my dream, the masked man spoke in a British accent and called her Mikael, adding that he'd never seen her in this form. He also asked why was she in that form, why was she there in England, and how did she get there. Mikael called him Samael, to which the man replied that he never went by that name anymore, but Mikael insisted that he will always be Samael to her. Mikael slowly turned to Samael as the latter drew closer to take off his mask and hers. There was an indication in my dream that there's a history of intimacy between the two archangels, yet it was more pure than lust. I remember in my dream that Samael tenderly cupped the side of Mikael's face, to which she leaned into his touch instinctively.

Their conversation was brief, with Mikael answering Samael's questions of being able to fly, loving the Asian cultures, and enjoying cuisine around the world that humanity has to offer (which explained her round figure). Samael laughed affectionately and implied he's been around humanity more often than Hell, barely touching the demon-infested crater he created when he fell and surrounded himself in what humanity had to offer. Mikael learned that Samael learned his lesson from God and God was willing to bring him back, but Samael elected to stay with humanity due to the toxicity of Heaven's garrison and what they were really like.

My dream went further after Mikael agreed and revealed her reason for leaving the garrison. William Shakespeare himself opened the door silently, noticing the archangels revealing their different colored wings. He was surprised but acted nonchalant as he asked the "two lovers to come out of the theatre closet" before leaving them be, calling out that the party was still going on. The archangels noticed their wings and realized that the masquerade party was very costume-like, and other people were wearing outrageous costumes, so they got to keep their wings out.

Not wanting to corrupt Mikael yet couldn't help showing some affection for her, Samael took her hand and recited some of Romeo's dialogue from Romeo & Juliette when he first meets Juliette. Hesitantly humoring him, Mikael recites along Juliette's lines of that scene (Act 1 Scene 5), and Samael soon kisses her then leaves after stating, "Thus from my lips, by thine, my sin is purged."

My dream of this scene felt a bit too close to SHINee's music video of Juliette at this point with the stairs outside of the building where the masquerade party was held (and right as I'm typing this, the song is playing on my Spotify app in my laptop). Mikael touched her lips and ran after Samael outside those stone steps, shouting the next line that Juliette says. Upon hearing her, Samael appeared astonished and giddy, running over to her to kiss her after begging to have his sin back.

Another one of my dreams before Valentine's Day fast forwards the time period of this relationship between the archangels that resemble me and my boyfriend's likeness. It becomes more modern-day, and other angels from the Heavenly garrison team up with demons to hunt down Samael and Mikael, running up the stairs. They still have their wings tucked in their invisible spaces on their backs and are wearing more streetwear, which resembles the styles that my boyfriend and I would usually wear. Samael and Mikael ran up to the top of the roof by a billboard (which closely resembles the SHINee music video, Ring Ding Dong). Mikael realized they had to split up and hide, for whatever reason of why both Heaven and Hell were after them in my dream, and Samael reluctantly agreed, then they kissed as they flew opposite directions to throw the angels and demons off their tails. Mikael grabbed a car after jumping off the roof and swiftly used her wings to land safely to the ground, driving off while managing to not hurt a single soul on the road. Meanwhile, Samael elected to use his wings more and fly at lightning speed through the tall city buildings without damaging property.

My memories in between dreams started getting fuzzy, but I do remember a tearful reunion between Samael and Mikael, embracing each other and loving each other after being apart for so long.

And so... yeah. Those were my dreams before my Valentine evening date with my boyfriend. After having sweet dreams that night, I don't recall getting those dream visions since. I just thought I'd share it with people here in this blog because they were so specific.
