Book Reviews?

I'm thinking of starting to do book reviews but i'm conflicted about what book I should read, I'm thinking 'EVE' by Cat Bohannon or 'Vanishing World' by Sayaka Murata. 

EVE is very long and non-fiction which both aren't bad however I'm not used to reading non-fiction and I want to be able to read the book occasionally while taking notes. I already have a job and am in college so I think I would be going to slow for me to be able to provide a good review(tho I might be going chapter by chapter)

Vanishing World is shorter, fiction, and from an author I like and have read books from but her premise is out there even for me and seems to be DEEPLY rooted in Japanese culture(i mean obviously the author is Japanese and it take place in Japan) and I don't think I would be able to fully understand and make good judgments on some of the things that happen in the book.

If anything i'll just choose another book
