(A lot of acronyms will be used in this post so please ask if you need help with any of them!)
How come not many people really play at arcades as some sort of pastime anymore?
-- Well, It's sort of obvious. It's not really something that people do anymore considering most arcade games don't really appeal to anyone these days. I must admit though- A large majority of them are just super boring money laundering machines.
Personally, I only play the fighting and rhythm games at my arcade. I mainly play DDR (If you couldn't tell by my profile), SDVX, and Wacca when I'm there.
-- Anyway, as I was saying, not only are most arcade games boring, the entire arcade industry itself is slowly dying out, and it honestly makes me really sad. It's also really lonely for me to even have this hobby.. Most regulars at my local arcade (the entire community itself) are fully grown.. Aged 25+ adults, and also male. So me, being a teenage girl, is sort of awkward.
Don't get me wrong though, they're all nice and whatever, but I really wish there were at least more girls or guys my age to talk to about these things. Yes, there's school, but as I said before, NOBODY is into these things. Talking to people online is another option. I do have a few friends across the country who are also into arcade rhythm gaming, but you know what I mean.
You know, speaking of them -- I honestly daydream about meeting them a ton. I have this one friend in particular, I've known him since early 2019 (Which by the way has been well over 6 years now!!), and I really really REALLY wanna meet up with him irl. too bad I gotta wait a few years before anything like that could happen lol. What I really like abut our friendship is that I don't even feel any sort of romance towards him.. Considering I've always fell head over heels for every guy I talked to. It amazes me that I actually have a guy friend (who's also quite close!) to not fall for.
Anyway - I wrote this in a few mins while being in my chem class. I'll wrap it up now so.. bye bye !
