As a born and raised American citizen myself, I don't think anyone was having any house parties while I was in high school circa 2020 - 2024 (but then again, I attended a small high school with about 800 or so students right outside of the big city). Maybe it depends on what area you live in or whatever, I don't know.
There were the standard American high school homecoming and prom events, though, if that counts.

I'm enjoying my life for the most part. I'm a college student in the u.s. and there's always tons of parties going on I'll really only pop out to one if I'm in a social mood/don't have anything going on the next day. Parties are mostly about just getting drunk and finding someone to get with. When there's good music, I love to just dance. It's also awesome if there's ganja that's my favorite rather than drinking. And just, being dumb. It's fun. However... The best part of "partying" is always the pregame. Like, doing your makeup with your friends and getting tipsy before pulling up to the function is the best. The pre-game and post-game usually ends up being way more fun than the actual function.
