this album is one of the most complete, raw, and saddening albums ive heard. the insane creativity and storytelling is seriously unparalleled in any album ive ever heard. the album is meant to be told in the perspective of a young kendrick growing up in compton california. showcasing the gang life he grew up into using each song to tell a different tale of the daily struggle of growing up in such an area really made me feel for him and others who are forced to be apart of this culture. my favorite tracks are Sing About Me/ I'm Dying of Thirst, The Art of Peer Pressure, Money Trees, Poetic Justice, m.A.A.d city, and Swimming Pools. if anyone is trying to get into hiphop/ rap, i would recommend this heavily!! even if you dont like hip hop or rap that much, i would still tell you to listen to it as i believe it it one of the best albums released in recent memory.
