Bass Clarinet & me.

I first began playing bass clarinet when I was 13 in my middle school’s band: I love how uncommon & elusive it was. Of course, bass clarinets are important in band because they serve as the middle ground between the winds & low brass, but in a normal middle school, people probably don’t even know that bass clarinets exist. Anyway, my first bass clarinet was a REALLY, REALLY nice student level Selmer bass clarinet. If you don’t know, Selmer’s a HUGE name in bass clarinets! They are like the Stradivarius of bass clarinets. Anyway, I only got to play bass clarinet for about a year or two before I graduated. Now I took a break from bass clarinet for about three years during high school, but I rejoined the band in my senior year & just recently I was allowed to use a student-level Buffet Crampon (another huge brand in clarinets). This Buffet Crampon is amazing! I used to play a plastic Yamaha, but this full wooden Buffet Crampon has a slightly warmer tone & I feel like I can play higher on it.
